Swift's stories of romantic love in the midst of heartbreak and young love are gaining her acclaim in the 21st Century. Swift's interest in music began when she was a young age. From children's plays to singing in front of thousands of people, Swift made rapid progress. At the age of 11, she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game and in the next year, she took up guitar and started writing songs. Swift became inspired to compose her own songs by the music of country category, like Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. Swift was thirteen when her parents made the decision to sell their Pennsylvania farm to relocate towards Hendersonville Tennessee. She could spend all of her time to reaching out to label labels from the country scene in Nashville.
