Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shankar is a British-American sitar player and music artist. She won the British House of Commons' Shield, which is the youngest and the first female to receive it. In addition to the nine Grammy awards, she was also the first musician of Indian origin to be a presenter and performer in the live ceremony. Anoushka Shakar, who is just a rising star on the Indian Sitar, is Anoushka. She is Ravi Shankar's pupil, and the daughter of Ravi Shankar. Born in London She spent her early years of her life moving between London as well as New Delhi. At the age of 13, her first show at New Delhi took place. In 1999, she completed her high school studies in Encinitas CA. Although she is still very young Anouskha is an accomplished performer and recording record. She performs regularly alongside her father and has performed with him for a long time years. The year 1998 saw her debuted Anourag as her debut album as a solo artist. A year later, she dropped the Grammy nomination-winning Live in Carnegie Hall. Since she's performed at all the major stages in the world, her performance career has been extensive. The career of Anoushka doesn't only involve music. Bapi The love of My Live is her 2002 novel, and was a tribute to Ravi Shankar. in 2003 she appeared in Dance Like a Man as the Bharat Natyam dancer. Anoushka is still progressing on her path and there will be many more things to come from this amazing woman. Anoushka was a frequent traveler and spent lots of time between London and Delhi during her young years. After that, she moved to California to attend high school. Anoushka Shankar began her musical studies when she was nine. Four years later she performed her sitar debut in Delhi for her father's 70th birthday celebration. Alongside her father, they toured around the globe, Anoushka racked up a wealth of experience performing at Carnegie Hall while still in her teens. She performed at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festival as well as performing together with George Harrison. Her musicianship and talent were recognised by British parliament as the best in Asian Arts.
